Our academic facilitator, Catherine Eldridge, is a North Carolina native. She graduated with a B.S. in Elementary Education and a concentration in Middle School Studies and History from the College of Charleston. Ms. Eldridge began teaching exceptional children (cross-categorical classroom) in 1995 in Granville County Schools. In 1997, she moved to Charlotte and worked as an EC teacher at Kennedy Middle School. In 1999, she began teaching sixth grade ELA and science.
Ms. Eldridge received her National Board Certification in Early Adolescent English Language Arts in 2000. The following year, she received her AG (Advanced Gifted) certification and license for K-12. In 2002, she became the academic facilitator at Kennedy Middle School. Since 2003, she has been the academic facilitator at Sedgefield Middle School.
Ms. Eldridge is the proud fur parent to two cats, Ashley and Socks. She loves baking for family and friends and reading in her spare time. She loves going to the beach and travels internationally to London yearly. Teaching is her passion and a lifelong
journey that she believes is one of the most important values we have in today’s society.
